Battleground Mobile India (BGMI) has permanently banned over 2.5 million players for cheating

The Battlegrounds Mobile India developer team continues to ban cheaters in the game. Recent Dev Team announced That more than 25 lakh accounts have been permanently banned for fraud. BGMI has also temporarily banned more than 700,000 players. All these accounts were banned in just one month. Along with these, the dev team has revealed how it is making strong efforts to reduce the incidents of fraud at BGMI. Like any other multiplayer game, BGMI players often encounter cheaters in various game modes. The proactive approach of the dev team to detect and ban cheaters is expected to reduce cheating in the game.

From October 1 to November 10, the BGMI team has permanently banned 2,519,692 accounts and temporarily banned 706,319 accounts for fraud. The developer also talked about four phases that it will double down on going forward:

  • Robust fraud detection for real-time fraud detection and banning accounts that use illegal methods.
  • The BGMI team will now allow the first offenders instead of imposing a temporary ban.
  • The team will manually verify and ban high ranking accounts that have used or promoted illegal programs.
  • Dev will monitor YouTube in real time to block channels promoting illegal fraudulent programs.

Although banning BGMI accounts seems like a good solution, many fraudsters create new accounts to play the game again. Unlike the PC game, BGMI Team cannot access the root files to block the device as it is a mobile game.
