  • Firstly, visit the official website of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) by clicking on Here,

  • On the homepage, click on the “My Aadhaar” drop-down menu.

  • From the drop-down menu, go to the Aadhaar Services category and click on Verify Registered Mobile or Email ID.

  • Now you have to enter your 12 digit aadhar number along with mobile number or email id (enter the same if you want to check your mobile number).
  • Now you have to enter the Captcha code and click on Send OTP.

If the mobile number you entered in the dialog box is correct, you will see a pop-up message that reads, “The mobile number you entered is verified with our records.” This means that your number is linked with the respective Aadhar card but if the mobile number is not linked with the card then it will show you a message that the mobile you have entered does not match with the UIDAI record.

Note, you will not be able to update your latest mobile number online with your Aadhar card. For that, you have to manually apply for the correction by visiting your nearest Aadhar card office.

How to know which mobile number is linked with Aadhaar

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has introduced Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAFCOP) which allows users to find out which registered mobile number is linked with Aadhar card. Here’s how it works:

  • First of all, you have to visit the TAFCOP portal.
  • After that enter your mobile number.
  • Now you don’t need to click on “Request OTP” tab.
  • Enter the OTP number that you have received via text message.
  • You can see all the numbers linked to your Aadhar card on the website.
  • With these numbers, you can block numbers that you don’t use or need anymore.

Having said that, the portal is live in only two states: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as of now. So if you are from any of these states then you can check your Aadhaar linked mobile number by following the steps given below.
